Anca-Denise Ciuta

I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Manchester. During my undergraduate studies, I spent one year as a research fellow at the School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada, investigating gene expression and regulation in the intestinal epithelium. Following my studies, I received the Cystic Fibrosis Fund to explore the effects of ivacaftor on the thermostability of CFTR and its variants linked to cystic fibrosis. For my doctoral research at ETH Zürich, I studied how hepatic transporters recognize and bind their substrates to understand their role in statin-induced side effects and drug-drug interactions.

During my doctoral studies, I developed an interest in digital marketing and business strategy. I became actively involved in student organizations, where I planned and organized events, and created marketing content. I also worked as a volunteer consultant for biotech companies, conducting market analyses, interviewing key opinion leaders, and providing actionable insights to support strategic growth. My experience broadened my perspective on the intersection of science and business, allowing me to apply research skills in practical settings.

I am excited to contribute to Epistudia’s mission of empowering healthcare and life science professionals by helping them advance their knowledge and skills through innovative and evidence-based e-learning courses. In my role, I focus on creating and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, leveraging my analytical skills to drive brand awareness.
