Christa Niehot
Biomedical Information Specialist
In 2001 I graduated from my study of information sciences (IDM) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where one of the main skills was performing literature searches. During my time at the Medical Library of the Erasmus MC (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) I learned how to optimize searches and deduplicate them in EndNote from my colleague Wichor Bramer.
A few years back I rediscovered the joy of assisting researchers/PhDs/students with composing search strings in databases. When I switched jobs I became a part time freelance information specialist.
During my time at the Erasmus MC and as a freelance information specialist I have been acknowledged* 11 times and been a co-author* 8 times. (*as of 25 January 2023)
