My journey in academia started in 2012 when I began my integrated master studies in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Medical University, Tirana, Albania. During the last year of my studies in Pharmacy, I worked on my master’s thesis in the field of addiction and the drug usage in Albania and its burden on Albanian society.

After completing my graduate studies, I started medical school in 2018 and obtained my medical degree in 2023 at the same university. I was awarded a scholarship dedicated to excellent students by the University of Medicine in Tirana, Albania. During my final year of studies, I worked closely with the Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Department at UHC Mother Theresa on my master's thesis, which focused on the correlation between ultrasound findings and histopathology in breast cancer.

In 2022, during the second semester of my fifth year of med school, I participated in an Erasmus+ exchange program at Università degli Studi dell'Aquila, L'Aquila, Italy, where I attended lectures and worked closely with the department of Occupational Medicine and Preventive Medicine. As a result of this experience, I developed an interest in evidence-based scientific research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.

Between then and now, I have worked and rotated in various hospital departments in Albania and Italy. As of September 2023, I have been employed as an Assistant Lecturer at the Albanian University.
